Dr. Brad Cooper
Dr. Cooper is a Danville native and first worked at East Lake Hospital for Animals as a kennel assistant while in high school. He pursued his passion and completed the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. After spending a few years at other practices, he returned to East Lake in 1981 and purchased the clinic in 1990.
He and his wife, Meggin, reside in Danville and have raised three wonderful children in this community. They are now proud grandparents to nine beautiful grandchildren!

Shannon Rannebarger, CVT
Shannon first joined East Lake in 2001 as an intern while in Parkland College's Veterinary Technology program. After achieving her certification in 2002, she began working at the clinic full-time. Shannon and her husband have a very active daughter and love cheering her on in gymnastics and softball. They also share their home with Chunk, the French Bulldog. When not at work, she enjoys sports and other outdoor activities.

Alinda Higgins, CVT
Alinda became a CVT in 1990 after finishing the Veterinary Technology program at Parkland College that same year. She started working at East Lake in 1988 while attending classes to become a CVT. She and her husband Brent, share their home with their two cats, Nestle and Kashi and Gnocchi their black Labrador. She is involved in dog training and has a special interest in Rally Obedience and Hunt Testing/Retriever work. They has achieved at least 10 titles! She also loves taking fun Christmas photos, baking, reading, sewing and experimenting with new technology!

Hannah Thompson, CVT
Hannah came to East Lake in 2015 after finishing the Veterinary Technology Program at Parkland College and attaining her CVT license. Hannah is particularly interested in laboratory and diagnostic medicine. She enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring local parks with her mixed breed dog, Hampton. In her free time, she loves mushroom hunting, reading, baking and spending time with family and friends.

Remington Meyer
Remington joined East Lake in August of 2021 after her wedding to Jon, her boyfriend of 12 years. Together, they share two children. Remington previously worked at Vermilion County Animal Control for three years when she decided to dedicate her life to helping animals. She especially likes the larger breeds and American Staffordshire dogs. Her own dogs, Lily is very spoiled and loved. She is very creative and makes crafts out of resin, also enjoys baking, and decorating baked goods for her family. Remington likes to spend time with her family and is always ready to help with a smile on her face.

Nicole Martin
Nicole joined East Lake in 2019 after graduating from Miami Dade College and prior to that serving five years in the Marine Corps. She is using this time to spend with family and while also enjoying her life-long love for animals here in here hometown. She has a daughter who plays different sports, and loves to play with her cousins. After a seven month hiatus to earn her Esthetician license, she is back again and ready to love on all her furry friends here at East Lake!

Donna Lappin
Donna began her career at East Lake as a kennel assistant in 1984. She found she had a special interest in grooming and started grooming in 1988. She has been our sole groomer since 1989. Donna will groom everything from Great Pyrenees to teacup poodles and even cats! When not working at East Lake, Donna likes to house sit, spend time with family and friends as well as attend local events.
